Color and details are always lost at night, which is a common problem with traditional cameras. In response to these issues, Uniview, a pioneer and leader in IP video surveillance, has launched its ColorHunter series. Based on the 5MP ColorHunter camera, Uniview has released a 4MP ColorHunter camera that offers better ColorHunter performance.
Ideal for night video surveillance, the 4MP Uniview ColorHunter camera incorporates a super large F1.0 aperture, 1/1.8″ progressive BSI sensor, and warm light LED to reduce light pollution.

Uniview ColorHunter Features
Uniview ColorHunter is a line of video surveillance cameras that respond to color and detail problems that arise when capturing images at night. A 5MP model was released late last year, and a 4MB model is now also available.

Colorful 24/7 Monitoring
Based on three hardware breakthroughs: super-large F1.0 aperture, 1/1.8″ BSI progressive sensor, and warm light LED to reduce light pollution, the 4MP ColorHunter camera can capture colorful details in the monitored scene in real-time in low-light environments throughout the day.

1/1.8″ Progressive BSI Sensor
Compared with the traditional camera, the 1/1.8″ BSI sensor has increased its size by 50%, which allows for maximizing the light intake from the lens and increasing light sensitivity.

Super F1.0 Large Aperture
The new model is equipped with a large F1.0 aperture that collects four times the light compared to the F2.0 aperture, allowing it to capture more light to enhance image brightness, even in low-light environments.

Friendly Lighting LEDs
ColorHunter camera ensures a high-quality and colorful image. It also adopts warm light LEDs to reduce light pollution. In addition, the light from warm light LEDs can also effectively prevent criminals in the dark.

What is Smart Intrusion Prevention in Uniview ColorHunter?
In video surveillance applications, users focus on the real events triggered by people and vehicles, rather than irrelevant moving objects. The Smart Intrusion Prevention (SIP) program focuses on people and vehicles to filter out false alarms, such as dogs, leaves, etc., and improve accuracy significantly.
Sometimes the accuracy of the SIP is affected by the quality of the image. Although at night the target is too dark to trigger the alarm, the ColorHunter camera can provide a colorful image even in low-light environments. In this way, you can achieve the effect of surveillance in the dark.
In general, the ColorHunter camera can be used in very low-light environments to deliver colorful images. Combined with the Smart Intrusion Prevention (SIP) function, it can provide surveillance even at night, and suit a wide range of application scenarios, such as residences, parking lots, parks, and alleys.
