Only then should you connect the surveillance camera to your network router. When setting up the network camera for the first time, you should use a LAN cable (Ethernet cable), as some network routers have problems with the initial installation via WLAN.

As soon as you have the IP camera identified in the list, you should find an IP address in the line. This number code consists of 8-10 digits; for example may appear like so: “172.16.8…”. The complete sequence of digits is structured like this “XXX.XXX.X.XXX”. Copy the complete sequence of digits. Open another window in your web browser.
If you cannot find the IP address of the connected IP camera, you should insert the software included with the camera into your CD-ROM drive.

Open the user interface of the IP camera
- When the IP address of the network has found and copied the IP camera, paste it into the address line of the new browser window and then confirm with the Enter key.

After I have connected the Dahua IP camera to the network router, no LED lights up on the camera or the network router
As soon as you have connected the IP camera and the network router using the network cable, an LED should normally light up on the camera and/or on the network router. If this is not the case, you should first check the power supply. Is the power cord properly connected to the camera? Is the power plug connected to an electrical outlet? Is the socket active (e.g. switch on an extension cord). Only then should you check the network cable used for functionality. Reconnect the IP camera or replace the cable.
After entering the IP address of the router, nothing happens!
